Meet the
Artist
Meet Brett Keating! (That’s me)
I am a self taught painter specializing in watercolour, oil, and acrylic paintings. Born and raised in Kitchener-Waterloo, I have always been inspired by the homely community and artistic presence.
I believe art is for everyone, and home paintings are delightful reminders of that. There’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to style, but I’ve always thought art looks best when it hits close to home anyway :)
In my free time…
When I’m not painting, I’m a full-time Fine Arts student at the University of Waterloo. I’m entering my fourth and final year.
I love to hike, go for bike rides, and stare at the stars (I’m a bit outdoorsy to some). Nature is one of my biggest inspirations for painting so I spend as much time as I can in forests, around waterfalls, or on top of beautiful peaks.
Wherever you might find me, I’m never too far away from my sketchbook. I’m always on the hunt for interesting compositions, unique colour combos, and captivating subjects.

For as long as I can remember! Drawing and painting have always been big parts of my world.

YES! I love painting people as much as buildings (if not just a hair more). I actually started out as a pencil crayon portrait artist before branching into paints.
I am also currently working on a portfolio to become a tattoo artist. As much as I love home paintings, I want to spread the joy of creativity as far and wide as I possibly can!

My logo is based on my family crest! I am very proud of my Keating name and couldn’t imagine a better business logo.
